According to the public relations report, Sam Sarani, the head of construction and installation of the gas pressure boosting facility project, considered the successful completion of the final connection operation to be the result of the comprehensive cooperation of the National Gas Dispatching Management and the 5th gas transmission operation region and a fundamental step in the process of setting up the Noorabad facility and stated: Now The gas has reached behind the inlet and outlet valves of the Noorabad facility, and as soon as the pre-commissioning operation is completed, we can put it into service.
According to Serani, the Noorabad gas pressure boosting facility in Fars province is being built on the 10th national gas pipeline, and due to the strategic nature of this line, which is one of the main gas transmission lines of the country, it will have an important impact on the national gas network. and with its launch, 15-16 million cubic meters per day will be added to the initial capacity of the line.
Pointing out that this facility has a 3+1 arrangement and includes three turbines in service and one spare turbine, he said: All these advanced equipments were made by Mapna and are currently being installed, and at the time of the installation of the facilities, The inlet and outlet valves are opened so that the gas passes through the compressors instead of passing through the line, and the inlet pressure increases from 850 to 1200 PSI and returns to the line.

In describing the urgency and importance of the final connection operation of the Noorabad facility, Serani explained: Since this facility is located at the beginning of the 10th national gas pipeline, the final connection operation is particularly sensitive, so this process must be done quickly and in a short period of time. It was done so that the consumers of this strategic line do not face problems.
The head of the construction and installation of the gas pressure boosting facility project continued: In order to connect the Noorabad gas pressure boosting facility to the 10th nationwide gas pipeline, no connections had been planned and installed in advance, so it was necessary to cut work on the 10th nationwide gas pipeline to connect it. to be done to the facility.
He stated that the valves “56” and “48” at the entrance and exit of the facilities, the installation of the valve “56” on the 10th national gas pipeline, the valves and piping of the route of the “20th line” on the side of the pass and the hydro test of all the lines are considered to be the most important activities of the final connection. He said: “Severe time limit and position and placement of valves are one of the characteristics of this operation, and a 160 ton crane was used to install the 56” valve.
He continued: In order to ensure the correct operation of valves “20”, “48” and “56”, all these items were sent to the Shahid Kolahdoz factory for testing in the presence of the inspection of the gas engineering and development company and then sent to the project site.
Referring to the management and foresight of the trustees, Serani said: carrying out such an operation in the summer season, when the network is less limited than the peak consumption in the winter, helps to achieve the goal of setting up the facilities before the cold season.
